Pedestrians cited in traffic crash

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Two pedestrians were cited after they were hit by a car while crossing the street in Colorado Springs Friday night (5/2/14).

The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Hancock Expy. and Boychuk Ave., near S. Academy Blvd. Police say a man and a woman were hit by a car that was going eastbound on Hancock Expy.

Both pedestrians were cited for improperly crossing the roadway. The driver was not cited.

The pedestrians were taken to the hospital to treat their injuries.

Police say alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash.
