Police: Fountain child enticement report likely a misunderstanding

FOUNTAIN, Colo. - The Fountain Police Department says a report of a possible child enticement Thursday evening (1/30/14) may have been the result of a misunderstanding.

The news comes after police say they found a truck they were searching for in connection to the report and questioned the people who own it.

Police tell KRDO NewsChannel 13's Rana Novini that they now believe the men were simply looking for their lost dog and did not have any bad intentions.

The girl and her father thought that the men were following her in the 6600 block of Fountain Ridge Circle.

The girl's step-father who witnessed a part of the incident told police he thought the passenger of the truck yelled "Go-go-go!" The men told police they were actually yelling "Coco-Coco", which is their dogs name.
