Police investigate threat at Walsenburg school

WALSENBURG, Colo. - The Walsenburg Police Department is investigating a threat made at John Mall High School on Wednesday (2/6/14).

A parent told police a student had planned to shoot several students on campus.

Police have been conducting interviews that will most likely last through Monday.  Police recommend, as a precaution, that school be put on a "lockout" until the threat's validity can be determined.  Police have also stepped up extra patrols around the school.
