Police: Jeep rammed cruiser, crashed into house during chase

PUEBLO, Colo. - The Pueblo Police Department says one of its cruisers was rammed during a chase that started with a report of shots fired in a south side neighborhood.

The shots fired call came from the 1700 block of Pine Street at 3:15 p.m. on June 11, 2014.

Police say there was a large fight and people could be heard arguing about drugs being stolen.

Officers learned that a jeep that appeared to be involved in the incident was seen driving away from the house.

When officers spotted a jeep in the area they tried to pull it over, but the driver refused to stop.

Police began chasing the jeep. Officers say the person behind the wheel of the jeep was driving recklessly and intentionally crashed into a police officer's vehicle.

The chase ended when the jeep crashed into a house near the intersection of Berkley Avenue and Corwin Avenue.

Two men were arrested. Their names have not been released.
