COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Springs Police Department says it has arrested eight people linked to a string of home burglaries in the city and in unincorporated El Paso County.

Police say Nathaniel Gonzales, Gino Rael, Carlitos Juvera-Rael, Darlene Gonzales, Leonard Walters Jr., Kenisha Watson, Naomi Archuleta and an underage boy were arrested. Click the slideshow under "related content" to see photos of the seven adults arrested in this investigation.

Police say their break in this case came on December 20, 2013 when a patrol officer spotted and arrested someone who was suspected of burglarizing a home on Indianpipe Circle, near N. Academy Boulevard and Austin Bluffs Parkway. They say that arrest led to a multi-agency investigation into a pattern of home burglaries that police say were being committed by the Northside Mafia gang.

Police say a total of 20 cases were cleared for various crimes including burglary, giving false information to a pawn broker and theft. They say much of the stolen property was recovered during the investigation and eventually returned to the victims.
