Police need help finding escapee

PUEBLO, Colo. - Pueblo police are asking for help in finding 32-year-old Jamie Lee Salazar. Officers say Salazar has a Department of Corrections warrant for escaping from Minnequa Community Corrections.

On April 2, officers spoke to a female who told them that Salazar accosted her, sexually assaulted her, physically assaulted her and restrained her from leaving. Salazar is being charged with sexual assault, second degree assault and kidnapping.

Police ask that the public not approach Salazar because he has a history of violent tendencies. Those who have information on his whereabouts are urged to call the Pueblo Police Department at 719-553-2502. Callers can also remain anonymous by calling Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 719-542-STOP.
