Public meeting scheduled to discuss proposed Pueblo transit changes

PUEBLO, Colo. - Pueblo Transit has scheduled a second public meeting to discuss proposed changes to the Highway 50 West, Bessemer and Red Creek routes.

The proposed changes are as follows:

  • Pueblo Transit proposes to eliminate bus stops north of Highway 50 on the Highway 50 West route.

  • Pueblo Transit proposes to eliminate bus stops on the Red Creek route in the area of Vinewood, Hollywood and Wildwood and establish a bus stop along Northern Avenue at Hollywood.

  • Pueblo Transit proposes to eliminate bus stops on the Bessemer route.

The proposed changes could take effect as soon as September 1.

The public is invited to attend the public hearings to comment on the social, environmental, and economic impacts of the proposed changes. People who need special transportation, access, or communications accommodations should notify the Pueblo Transit office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26.
