Pueblo Crime Stoppers look for home burglar

PUEBLO, Colo. - Pueblo Crime Stoppers is looking for a man and a woman involved in a home burglary.

The burglary happened on August 9 at 1015 Olivecrest Drive in Pueblo.  Police say the home was up for sale and was supposed to be shown by a realtor. The home owner left at 6:00 p.m. and returned around 8:00 p.m., only to find the doors unlocked and numerous items (jewelry, electronics, cash and checks) missing.

The investigation revealed that the realtor gave the front door code to a person believed to be another realtor that was going to show the house.  It was later discovered that the person who called the realtor for the code was not a real estate agent.

Surveillance cameras captured photos of a man and a woman using the victim's stolen checks at the Safeway store in Fountain on August 12.  The suspects were described as a white woman, 5'0 to 5'5" tall, medium build, wearing a multi-colored shirt with a brown sweater and blue shorts and a white man, about 5'8" to 6'0" tall, slender build, wearing a baseball cap, flannel shirt, and tan pants.

If you have any information on this case you are urged to call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP (542-7867) or visit their web site at www.pueblocrimestoppers.com.
