Sexual assault suspect arrested after scuffle with police

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman Sunday afternoon.

The reported sexual assault happened on Arlington Dr.

The woman told police that Darrell Innis, 31, invited her into his apartment for drinks. She said Innis then started groping her, and eventually forced himself on her and sexually assaulted her. The woman tried to escape, but could not fight off Innis. The woman's friends heard her screaming and came to help her escape.
