Smoke, but no fire in Colorado

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - There is a lot of smoke in the air, but no fire in Colorado so far.

The Custer and Fremont County Sheriff's offices received dozens of calls from citizens about the smoke in the air, but they have not seen any fire. The Colorado State Patrol, Colorado Springs Police Department and Colorado Springs Fire Department also report no fire sightings.

We have been told the smoke and haze are likely being caused by larger fires in Arizona and New Mexico.

We will keep you updated if the situation changes.
