Springs police investigate home invasion

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs police made an arrest in a home invasion and are looking for three other men involved.

Police said four men entered a home on. South Corona Avenue without permission shortly before 9 Tuesday night.

The homeowner told police three of the men ran out of the front door and one out of the back door. He also told police it looked like one of the men was running from the other three.

A short time later, police responded to a call about another home invasion just two doors down. The homeowner said a man was trying to get into the home through the back door and eventually broke a window. That homeowner was armed and held the man at gunpoint until police arrived.

Both homeowners requested for police not to file trespassing charges. The man, Thomas Morphet, was taken into custody.
