Springs shooting victim identified, death ruled homicide

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a shooting at a Colorado Springs bar and grill Tuesday evening (5/6/14).

The incident happened at Savannah's Bar & Grill, 2510 E. Bijou Street.

Police say David James Johnson, 38, was dead when they arrived. His death has been ruled a homicide.

An unidentified 37-year-old man was also hurt. He is in critical condition but is expected to survive.

Police do not have a suspect description. They say a white sedan with chrome rims was seen leaving the area and might have been involved.

This case marks the 10th homicide in Colorado Springs in 2014. There had been 13 homicides in the city at this time last year.
