State Trooper investigating single-vehicle crash gets hit by a truck

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - A state trooper was injured in a car accident while investigating another car accident on Friday night (1/31/14).

According to state patrol, the trooper was investigating  a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of Colorado 21 and Bradley Road when a Subaru ran a stop sign and hit a Schwann's truck. The truck then swerved and hit the trooper's car.

The trooper was taken to the hospital, but later released.  The driver of the Subaru was ticketed for careless driving causing injury.
