Stranger danger alert: police search for man offering lewd acts for money

Stranger Danger in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Police are investigating a stranger danger incident.

Police say a man in a red truck approached two girls near Dublin Boulevard and Austin Bluffs Monday (4/28/14) around 4 p.m. An hour earlier, a man matching that description was around Academy Boulevard and Austin Bluffs.

In both cases, girls told police the man asked her if she wanted to make $100 by watching him touch himself. Parents tell us they're concerned.

"I think that it puts a lot of pressure on our community to see how we're going to handle these kinds of situations and how we're going to talk to our kids about them because you don't want your kid to get trapped in this kind of a situation. How are you going to make them aware of their surroundings?" said parent Jaclyn Deprietro.

Police are looking for a white man between 20 and 30-years-old with reddish blonde hair, wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses. The red truck had a temporary license plate.

The man faces charges of enticement of a child and unlawful sexual contact or public indecency.

If you know who the man is or anything else about this case call Colorado Springs Police at (719) 444-7000.
