Teller County authorities bust counterfeit money crime ring

TELLER COUNTY, Colo. - The Teller County Sheriff's Office has arrested four people accused of making counterfeit twenty dollar bills.

On Monday morning, authorities identified their first suspect in the crime: Monica Paradise.  Paradise was arrested and a search warrant was granted for a Woodland Park residence.  Investigators found counterfeit money and equipment used to make that money.

The Sheriff's Office was able to identify three other suspects and executed another search warrant at a Colorado Springs home.  At that home, investigators found a vehicle and a trailer that was reported stolen.  They also found illegal drugs.

Brian Joe, Austin Gulla and David Bowers join Paradise in the Teller County Jail.

The case is still under investigation.
