ROCKY FORD, Colo. - A traffic stop in Arizona led to the arrest of three men in Rocky Ford according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
The arrests happened on Thursday, January 23, 2014 after heroin and methamphetamine were delivered to a house in Rocky Ford.
The DOJ says Raymond Abeyta, 34, Frank Gonzales, 41, and Eric Garcia, Jr., 29, were arrested. All three went before a judge in Denver on Friday, January 25, 2014 to be advised of their rights and the charges they are facing.
The Department of Justice says a traffic stop in Arizona led investigators to the house in Rocky Ford where the men were arrested.
The DOJ says that On Thursday, January 23, 2014 the Arizona Department of Public Safety stopped a 2009 Nissan Maxima as it was traveling east on I-40 in Flagstaff. It says 4-point-75 pounds of heroin and three pounds of meth were found in the car and investigators learned the drugs were to be delivered to a house in Rocky Ford, Colorado.
All three of the men arrested are facing drug-related charges.
