Two Fort Carson soldiers killed

FT CARSON, Colo. - The Department of Defense announced today the death of two Fort Carson soldiers.

Staff Sgt. Benjamin G. Prange, 30, of Hickman, Nebraska and Pfc. Keith M. Williams, 19, of Visalia, California, were killed in Mirugol Kalay, Kandahar Province, Afghanistan on July 24th.  The soldiers were mortally wounded when the enemy attacked their vehicle with an improvised explosive device.

The soldiers were assigned 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.
