Victim shot in leg during armed robbery

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Police are looking for two armed robbery suspects who shot a man early Friday morning.

It happened shortly after midnight in the 500 block of S. Hancock Ave.

Police say the victim was sitting in his car when two suspects approached him. One suspect pointed a gun at the victim and demanded that he get out of the car. After the victim got out of the car, the armed suspect shot him twice in the leg. Both suspects fled from the area before police arrived.

The victim was taken to the hospital to treat his injuries. He is expected to make a full recovery.

The armed suspect is described as a black man in his 20s. He's about 6'02" tall and weighs between 165 and 175 pounds.

The second suspect is described as black man, between 5'06" and 5'08" tall.
