West side garage fire quickly knocked down

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs firefighters made quick work of a large garage fire that was burning on the city's west side Friday evening (6/13/14).

The fire was reported around 5:15 p.m. and burned a detached garage located behind a home at the intersection of Pikes Peak Ave. and 23rd St.

A photo shared on Facebook by KRDO NewsChannel 13 viewer Jonathan James showed that a utility pole also caught fire.

The fire department reported that the fire was under control about ten minutes later.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
