Woman arrested for DUI charges after crash with serious injuries

A woman was arrested Friday night after police say she caused a crash in Colorado Springs that seriously injured another driver.

The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on Chestnut St. at the intersection of Fontanero St. Police say a truck ran a stop sign and crashed into a car turning in the intersection.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for serious injuries.

The driver of the truck, 40-year-old Kimberly Bain, was arrested for DUI-related charges.

Chestnut was closed for about four hours while police investigated.
