Woman seriously injured in hit-and-run

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Authorities say a woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a vehicle while walking in Grand Junction.

Sgt. Tony Clayton with the Grand Junction Police Department said the woman, whose name has not been released, was walking in the 900 block of Main Street when she was struck just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday. The woman is hospitalized in critical condition.

Clayton said the driver fled the scene.

No other details were released.
