Woman sexually assaulted in her back yard

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Police say a woman was attacked when she stepped out back for a cigarette around 11:15 p.m. Monday at a home on the 1200 block of Diamond Rim Drive.

Police say the woman was smoking a cigarette when a man wearing all black hit her in the face with something and pushed her to the ground. She says the man held a knife to her throat, removed her clothes, and sexually assaulted her.

The victim says her attacker was wearing a black ski mask, black gloves, a black shirt and black pants. She told police she believes the man was a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and 200 pounds.
