Man fights back when robbed by armed men

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A Colorado Springs man and his friends chased down would be armed robbers Tuesday.  Police were able to arrest the attempted robbers.

Police said it all started as an armed robbery at the High Definition Cutz Barber Shop on E. Platte Avenue. A man says he was robbed at gunpoint.

When the suspects, not identified as Lee Wildes and Stacey Anderson, ran from the barber shop, the victim and his friends ran after them.

Police say they caught up with the suspects near Platte Avenue and Boulder Street.

Police said one of the men accused of robbing the barber shop used a handgun to assault the original victim. That's when one of the friends opened fire with his own weapon.

Wildes and Anderson face several charges including aggravated robbery and assault.
