Man pleads guilty to killing liquor store owner in Colorado Springs

Colo. Springs, CO - A man has pleaded guilty to murdering a liquor store owner in Colorado Springs.

Phinehas Daniels pleaded guilty Wednesday to second-degree murder in connection to Donat Herr's death. He also pleaded guilty to several robbery charges.

Herr was killed last February during a robbery at his business, Empire Wine and Liquor on North Academy Boulevard.

Daniels will be sentenced in May. According to the 4th Judicial District Attorney's office, he faces between 50 and 70 years in prison.

A 13-year-old already pleaded guilty to murder in this case. The teen is serving six and a half years in the Department of Youth Corrections.
