A man accused of firing a gun at police officers and trying to carjack a driver made his first appearance in court Friday.
Frank Goad is facing charges of attempted first degree murder of a police officer and attempted aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $525,000.
The alleged crimes happened Tuesday evening near Goose Gossage Park.
The hunt for Frank Goad started around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday near a storage unit off of Mark Dabling Boulevard after police received a report of shots fired.
Police say that when they arrived, Goad, 54, fired his gun at them and then took off running.
Police say they think Goad tried to steal a man's car as he was trying to get away. The would-be victim refused to leave his car, and Goad continued running on foot.
On Friday, Colorado Springs Police confirmed Goad is also the primary suspect in an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven on Hancock Expressway Wednesday night.
