Around 100 Fort Carson soldiers return home

Fort Carson soldiers return home

FORT CARSON, Colo. - Nearly 100 Fort Carson soldiers from the 127th Military Police Company and 148th Military Police Detachment returned home on Monday.

The soldiers spent eight months in Kuwait and Qatar, seizing more than 700 items of contraband.

On Monday night, they left all that behind in exchange for some quality family time.

“It feels crazy right now. It feels so surreal being home. It's hard to explain, it feels amazing,” said Thomas Collins.

In addition to contraband patrol, the MP units were also responsible for securing
ammo and weapons that traveled through their sector.
