At least one shot fired in apparent Fort Carson home invasion

FORT CARSON, Colo. - Special Agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command are investigating an incident that put one person in the hospital. 

The situation, which is being investigated as a possible home invasion, happened at around 1 a.m. Thursday in the Sioux Village housing area.

The person who lives in the home fired at least one shot. That person was injured and is in stable condition at Evans Army Hospital. It's unclear how that person was injured.

Fort Carson says it is not releasing any additional details to protect the integrity of the investigation.
