COLORADO SPRINGS - A traveling replica of the Vietnam Wall was assembled in Colorado Springs on Thursday.
The 350-foot wall now stands at Rock Family Church near Woodmen and Rangewood.
It includes every name on the original wall in Washington DC, allowing visitors to take etchings of any loved ones.
The pastor of the church hopes it will honor not only local Vietnam veterans but all military families in southern Colorado.
“I hope it will make our community proud of our military families and value and respect them,” said Dean Hawk, Pastor at Rock Family Church.
A ceremony will be held Saturday morning at 10 to honor local Vietnam veterans.
The wall is open 24 hours a day from now until Sunday at 3 p.m.
