Investigators say Daniel Nations is no longer a suspect in Delphi, Ind. murders

DELPHI, Ind. - Daniel Nations, the man investigators in Delphi, Ind. thought might be involved in the murders of two girls now say he is not a suspect.

On Thursday, authorities announced that Nations is no longer a suspect in the death of 14-year-old Liberty German and 13-year-old Abigail Williams.

This comes just days after the one-year anniversary of the girls’ disappearance and murder. The girls vanished while hiking a trail.

Their bodies were found the next day in a rugged, wooded area.

In January, Nations accepted a plea deal and was charged with menacing and possession of a weapon by a previous offender in El Paso County court. This in connection with an incident where Nations threatened at least one person with a hatchet along Mount Herman Road in Monument, Colo. in September of 2017.
