President Trump moves forward with preventing transgenders from serving in military

President Donald Trump proved on Friday that he was moving forward with his plan of preventing transgender people in the military.

President Trump signed a memorandum that will keep transgender individuals from joining, according to CNN.

The memorandum will also ban the Department of Defense from using its resources to provide medical treatment regiments for transgenders currently in the military.

Trump is also appointing the departments of Defense and Homeland Security "to determine how to address transgender individuals currently serving based on military effectiveness and lethality, unitary cohesion, budgetary constraints, applicable law, and all factors that may be relevant," the White House official said.

It is still unclear whether transgenders currently serving will be allowed to remain in the military. CNN reports that white officials have been hinting to transgenders not being able to serve openly.
