NEW INFORMATION: Video advisement held for suspect in auto shop owner's murder

Colorado Springs, CO. - A video advisement was held Monday for a suspect charged with murdering an auto shop owner in Colorado Springs.

Derrick Davis is charged with first-degree murder in the death of George Maldonado, Sr. He was killed July 13 during a robbery at Full Throttle Auto Service off Chelton Road.

Davis' defense team requested the arrest warrant be released to its office. The judge did not release the document, but referred the defense to another division in the court.

Davis is being held on a no bond warrant. His next court appearance is scheduled for August 15th.

Police are still looking for a second suspect in Maldonado's murder. Eric William Grant is wanted for first-degree murder.
