2014: Longtime "Saturday Night Live" announcer Don Pardo dies in his sleep at the age of 96 in Tucson, Arizona. Pardo had served as announcer for "SNL" since the show's 1975 debut and had a radio and TV announcing career that spanned more than seven decades. He was also the announcer for early incarnations of such shows as "The Price Is Right," "Jeopardy!" and "NBC Nightly News."
