DENVER -

Police are investigating after a man was shot to death at a home in west Denver.

Sgt. Steve Warneke tells The Denver Post that officers were called to the home a block south of Sloan's Lake at about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday. The victim, whose name and age have not been released, died at the scene.
    
Warneke says the shooter is in custody and is cooperating with police.
    
Investigators have not said what led to the shooting but hinted it might have involved self-defense.
