Police still searching for suspect behind Memorial Park shooting

Colo. Springs, CO. - Police are searching for whoever is behind a shooting at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs.

A 30-year-old man was shot multiple times Wednesday around 7 p.m. The shooting was on the south side of Prospect Lake, near the intersection of Prospect Lake Drive and Union Boulevard, police said.

Seconds after the man was shot, people rushed to help.

A viewer sent KRDO a disturbing video, taken only moments after the victim was shot. In the video, the victim kept telling the people who were helping him that he just wanted the ambulance to arrive.

The man was rushed to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Police say they believe it was an isolated incident. There is currently no description of the suspect.
