Lookout Mountain fire controlled, evacuation notices lifted

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -

Firefighters quickly controlled a wildfire on Lookout Mountain in Jefferson County Thursday.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says it sent emergency notifications to 282 phones from the lower part of Krestview and Hess to Cody Park.

Those evacuation notices have now been lifted.

Firefighters from the Genesee, Foothills, Evergreen and Intercanyon fire departments worked to control the Beaver Brook Fire.
