2 arrested for illegal grow, hash oil operation in Pueblo West

PUEBLO WEST, Colo. - Two men have been arrested for an illegal marijuana grow and butane hash oil operation in Pueblo West.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office searched a home in the 500 block of N. Raymont Drive on Tuesday.

Deputies found 146 marijuana plants in the garage and in three separate rooms in the basement. According to the Sheriff's Office, the number of plants found in the home was "well above the limit the occupants were allowed."

Detectives also found evidence suggesting that the people living there were manufacturing hash oil using butane and commercial-grade extraction equipment.

Reinaldo Castillo, 53, and Jose Castillo, 52, were arrested for conspiracy, unlawful extraction of marijuana concentrate, possession with intent to manufacture or distribute marijuana or marijuana concentrate and cultivation of marijuana.

A third man could be facing charges. The case has been referred to the Pueblo County 10th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
