45-yr-old suspected of drowning in Runyon Lake in Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. - The Coroner has released the identity of the body removed from a lake in Pueblo on Monday.

Eddy Huerta, 45, of Pueblo, was recovered from Runyon Lake at around 4 p.m. by a fisherman. 

Our partners at The Pueblo Chieftain reported the fisherman hooked the body, and once he realized what was at the end of his line, he backed away and called 911.

The Coroner told the Chieftain that he believes Huerta died from drowning but will know for sure after the autopsy is performed on Wednesday. 

Captain Kenny Rider with the Pueblo Police Department does not suspect foul play. He believes his body had been in the lake for a couple of days.
