Argument escalates to stabbing in Pueblo, 1 arrested

PUEBLO, Colo. - The Pueblo Police Department arrested a 37-year-old on Wednesday for stabbing a man off S. Santa Fe Avenue. 

Adrian Salazar has been arrested for 2nd-degree assault. 

He was taken into custody at the Pueblo Transit Center off Court Street a short time after the alleged stabbing. 

Officers responded to 603 S. Santa Fe Ave. at around 1 p.m. When they arrived they found the victim in an alley with an apparent stab wound. 

The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. 

Authorities believe the two were arguing when Salazar stabbed the victim. 

Salazar has been booked into the Pueblo County Detention Center.
