Damon Runyon Theater forced to shut its doors

PUEBLO, Colo. - After 18 years, the Damon Runyon Theater company in Pueblo has shut its doors.

For close to two decades, the self-funded ensemble rented out the old chief theater, bringing original dramas, thrillers, and comedies to the stage.

An online post from the company's organizers says that community support has been waning, and it was getting too tough to cover expenses.
