Driver faces charges after causing serious crash in Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. - The driver who ran a red light, causing a multiple-vehicle crash on Thursday is now facing charges, our partners at The Pueblo Chieftain reports. 

Gregory Davis, 29, is facing charges of reckless driving and driving under the influence. 

The accident occurred along Pueblo Boulevard near Red Creek Springs Road at around 3 p.m. 

According to police, Davis was traveling in his Kia Sorento along Pueblo Boulevard at a high speed when he tried to run a red light and struck a Ford pickup truck. This resulted in a head-on collision with another vehicle.

It was last reported that Davis was in critical condition at a local hospital. 

The driver of the truck walked away from the crash, but the passenger had to be taken to the hospital. The last report was that he/she is in stable condition. 

The driver of the third vehicle also was taken to a local hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.

A stretch of Pueblo Boulevard beginning at Red Creek Springs Road was closed in both directions for several hours on Thursday.
