PUEBLO, Colo. - Officials from Colorado State University-Pueblo will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at 11 a.m. Friday for a new, 10,000 square foot commercial complex just south of the CSU-Pueblo ThunderBowl and Fieldhouse.
CSU-Pueblo President Lesley Di Mare, CSU-Pueblo Foundation Chair Russell DeSalvo, CSU-Pueblo Foundation CEO/President Todd Kelly, Associated Students Government President Antonio Huerta, and Urban Renewal Executive Director Jerry Pacheco will attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
The ceremony will be at 2200 Rawlings Boulevard.
The Thunder Village Complex project will cost $2.4 million and will provide space for commercial services near the campus, according to the CSU-Pueblo Foundation.
The construction and management of the complex will be run by the Foundation, which is also seeking active tenants.
Thunder Zone Pizza has signed on as the complex’s first tenant, and is expecting to open for business in June.
