Man, woman arrested in Pueblo for auto theft

PUEBLO, Colo. - A man and a woman were arrested in Pueblo early Tuesday morning for auto theft.

Police noticed a stolen vehicle, a 2010 KIA, traveling near Pueblo's Mineral Palace Park at around 1:30 a.m.

They were unable to pull it over at this time, but officers did find it a short time later in the 500 block of Melbourne on Pueblo's south side.

Police then decided to take a look around the area.

In the 500 block of Cherry Lane, two suspects, Gabriel Flores, 20, and Kayla Gordova, 20, were arrested.

Flores had a warrant for Failure to Appear and was out on a PR bond from a previous auto theft case in June of this year.

Cordova had a no bond warrant for Third Degree Assault, Theft and Criminal Mischief.

Both were transported to the Pueblo County Detention Center on their warrants and will face new charges associated with the stolen vehicle, as the investigation continues.
