POSITIVELY PUEBLO: Officers go above and beyond for boy who was hit by car

PUEBLO, Colo. -

Two Pueblo police officers brought a stuffed animal and coloring books to the hospital for a little boy who was hit by a car Friday afternoon.

The accident happened at around 2 p.m. in the 3000 block of Franklin Avenue, just outside Morton Elementary.
Police say the boy, whose name is Bentley, dashed away from his mom and into the busy street.
Officers Giconi and Lile wanted to make sure he was okay, so they paid him a visit in the hospital with gifts in hand.

Bentley looks pretty banged up in a photo posted on the police department's Facebook page, but based on the big smile on his face, it appears the officers' efforts to make him feel better worked.
