PUEBLO, Colo. - The Pueblo South High School Junior ROTC took time out of their day on Thursday to show the community how to properly dispose of tattered and worn flags.
The community was invited to watch them respectfully retire Old Glory at the Pueblo South baseball field.
South Junior ROTC members received tattered and worn flags from across the state and from U.S. Service members overseas to take care of the flags.
“It shows the other kids. This is what it’s all about... very honored to be a part of it and very impressed with the way they executed it,” said William Krabach.
South High School is the only Junior ROTC Program in the Pueblo area to hold such flag retirement ceremonies.
