Saturday saw the fewest votes cast in the recall election since early voting began Thursday in El Paso County.
State Senate President John Morse could lose his District 11 seat to Bernie Herpin. Morse is up for recall because of his support of gun legislation measures.
On the first day, there were 3,657 votes cast. On Friday, 3,302 voters turned out. On the first day of the weekend, just 2,328 votes were cast across a handful of early voting locations in El Paso County.
Those locations include the Citizens Service Center on Garden of the Gods Road; the northern DMV office at N. Union and Research boulevards; another DMV office at Centennial Hall, Downtown; and a county office at Powers Boulevard and Airport Road.
Here is a link to the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder website that details when those offices will be open over the next few days.
Election day is Tuesday Sept. 10.
