DENVER, Colo. - For the second time in less than a week the Colorado Rockies traded for a two-time All Star, this time it's catcher Jonathan Lucroy.
The Rockies sent "a player to be named later" to the Texas Rangers for Lucroy - who was an All Star both in 2014 and 2016.
The 31-year-old is having admittedly a down year at the plate - he's hitting .242 with just four home runs.
However, in over 900 major league games Lucroy is a career .280 hitter and was a critical piece to the Rangers' playoff run a year ago. He's played in the post season twice, once with Milwaukee in 2011 and once with Texas in 2016.
