Colorado inmate attempts to escape through detention center ceiling

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. - An inmate at the Douglas County Detention Center tried to escape through the ceiling, causing a full lockdown on Tuesday morning.

Cody Crocker was missing for around an hour until law enforcement found him unharmed, according to KDVR in Denver.

He was checked out by medical staff and returned to his cell.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office and the Castle Rock Police Department worked together to set up a perimeter around the detention center.

Crocker was booked into the detention center by the Lone Tree Police Department on February 5 on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, shoplifting, forgery, simulation impersonation and related offenses, and attempt to influence a public servant.
