Deputies believe Silver Cliff woman's death was self-inflicted

CUSTER COUNTY, Colo. - The Custer County Sheriff's Office now believes the death of a Silver Cliff woman was self-inflicted.

Ashley Brady had a gunshot wound to her left chest area from a .270 rifle. The rifle was owned by her and her common law husband.

Ashley's husband found her unresponsive at their home in the 700 block of Ohio Street at 2:05 a.m. on March 22. Ashley's husband was with several friends and their children when she killed herself.

Originally, deputies thought her death was suspicious.

The Custer County Sheriff's Office is still waiting for results on the toxicology test to say for sure what happened.
