DILLON, Colo. - Loveland Ski Resort reopened on Monday morning after being struck with a power outage that trapped six people on a chair lift Sunday afternoon.
The outage happened at around 4 p.m. The group got stuck on the Ptarmigan Lift.
"It was an unfortunate event, but Ski Patrol trains rigorously for these types of situations," Rob Goodell, director of business operations, told our news partners in Denver. "Everyone was evacuated safely and as quickly as possible. We apologize to our guests for the inconvenience and thank them for their patience."
Crews worked overnight to get the resort back up and running.
