Man accused of killing Trooper Donahue suspended from driving

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. - The driver of the truck that killed Trooper Cody Donahue has been removed from the roads.

Noe Gamez-Ruiz is accused of hitting and killing Donahue along Interstate 25 on Black Friday.

Gamez-Ruiz has been charged with careless driving resulting in death and failure to yield the right-of-way to an emergency vehicle in the crash.

A spokesperson with US Foods says Gamez-Ruiz is suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.

The funeral service for Trooper Donahue is set for this Friday at 11 a.m. at Denver First Church of Nazarene in Englewood.
